Bad things happen...
...when you try to help the bride and her mother take stuff downstairs to the car after the Bridal Shower. Trust me when I say, never help! It is just better in the long run to stay on the couch and do nothing. Otherwise, you will end up at the hospital with a broken foot. Which will cause you to cancel your plans of going to Grand Coulee Dam for the Fourth of July and make you stay in bed and be bored out of your mind. At least the hospital visit was fun. Adult Mad Libs can make any hospital trip fun and go by quickly! | | Saturday, May 14th, 2005 | | 11:50 pm |
So… A little while ago, my roommates and I were looking online (LJ) because we had gone to this very fun party and we were trying to find the pictures from the party. While looking on one of my friend’s journal, I came across a comment from the guy I like. Live Journal is a wonderful thing because it allows you to say what you want to say with no fear. There are no games, no one to impress. I don’t necessarily feel bad, just guilty. I have always been one to play by the rules, and I feel like I have cheated. | | Monday, May 2nd, 2005 | | 9:42 pm |
A Scottish Buffalo Herder
My company was supposed to have a very important meeting tomorrow with a gentleman that may invest in the company. This gentleman (a Scotsman in the oil industry) has a 25 year old buffalo herder that he brought over with him to Canada to "broaden his horizons". Because this guy did not have to sit though the meetings, I was asked if I would feel comfortable to show him around Seattle. Now, my question to everyone is if you where asked to get paid (plus expenses) to take a foreigner and show them around Seattle if you would have a problem with it? So, at 11:30am today we get a call from the investor saying that he was here and would like to have the meeting today. This freaked out the entire company, but I was very excited. So, for the rest of my work day, I walked around Seattle, took a small ride in a Hummer and had a very lovely dinner with a Scotsman. I really love my job!!! | | 12:06 am |
Seattle Weekly Music Award Showcase Shows
The best LEFT HAND SMOKE show that we have seen in a long time. (However, it could have been the four and a half shots that I have had this evening!!) They played at the Central in Seattle. They played for half the time that they normally play, which I kind of liked. It seems when they do the two hour sets, that I get a little tired after awhile. They played all of my favorite songs and it was wonderfully up beat. As we were first going into the the Central, some guys came up to us and told us that we could get us in for free. So they gave us these bracelets that lets us in to every club for free to watch the bands. After we had our first shot, we left the Central and started hitting the other bars. We found a bar next four that had all drinks at $2. So after one shot, we left to find another band to listen to. After walking around for awhile and checking out the other clubs, we went back to the $2 shot place and got our third shot for the evening (I had started at home before we left for a total of four and a half). The crowd was great and the band was f***ing awesome!! You all missed a great show. Well, now that I am still completely relaxed, I should go to bed because I still have work tomorrow. Night. Dancing the Night Away
Sometimes it just feels really good to go some place in Seattle and just dance the night away. Tonight was the first night in a long time that I went out to dance. Sandra and I went to Seattle to meet a long time friend that I have not seen in many years. We had decided to meet at Club Medusa. Not one of my favorite clubs, but OK. Of course we only saw our friend Michelle for the last ten minutes, but at least we were there. It is odd to think that three/four years ago, I would go to a club almost every Saturday or Sunday. I think I miss the freedom that I get when I go dancing. Because I go and dance for myself, I never feel weird at a club. But when I am at a small party, never want to dance. I think I just need more friends that want to go out to clubs with me to go dancing. | | Friday, April 29th, 2005 | | 5:09 pm |
Time Passes Very Quickly...
...If you are not paying attention. Last time I posted I had just gotten a new job. It it's hard to believe sometimes that I have been at UBuildIt for just over a year now. Since it has been awhile I thought that I would give a very quick recap. I've moved out of the parents house (now living in Bellevue with Kristen and Sandra), I officially have an AA degree (hopefully to have the piece of paper that proves it in a few months, going to start for the next degree hopefully in the fall) and I have a new local band that I support constantly (Left Hand Smoke). I'm a little more busy then I would normally like to be. For some reason, I thought that moving out of my parents house would give a little more time to me for rest. Well, that did not happen at all. But at least it has been fun. Right now I'm sitting at work waiting for some of my coworkers to finish working because we are going to have a game night. Part of me, though, just wants to go home, change into my PJ's and curl up with my cat and watch a movie. Is it just me or did this week seem to go almost to fast? Since the week went fast, I have a feeling that the weekend will go even faster. I like to be busy, but sometimes I think of my schedule and I go a little crazy. I wonder how long I can keep it up? At least I enjoy all of it, so I'm sure that I will make it through. Alright, time to go play some games. Bye! | | Friday, March 12th, 2004 | | 12:37 pm |
My new job

Job Interview
So, I have my first job interview tomorrow and I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for me? I am very excited, but very nervous. | | Monday, December 1st, 2003 | | 9:05 am |
Fire at Times Square
So Sunday morning I got a call at 6:30 and ran down to work. Some kids thought it would fun to light a huge stack of newspapers out side of our door and to stuff paper under the door to set the place on fire. It only hurt the front entrance, but we have a lot of smoke damage and water. Yesterday was my only day off in a week and I spent 12 hours there trying to do what little there was to do. The insurance company could not come out until today so later we will all be cleaning. Working at Antique Malls gives you only two great fears, Earthquake and Fire. The good thing is that it did not really hurt to much stuff, but it was still a trying day. | | Thursday, October 30th, 2003 | | 9:24 am |
The Loss of 21
Since yesterday, I will never be 21 again. It's weird to think about how quickly time seems to go and you don't even realize it until your next birthday shows up and you are another year older. I don't know what it was about 21 that I liked so much, but I do know that 22 is kind of scary. It makes me think that I have to start being an adult now, and I don't know if I want to do that. Oh well, it was still nice to feel special for the day. OK, Bye | | Friday, October 3rd, 2003 | | 9:26 am |
Very Bored
So right now, I am helping a fellow accounting student to do her homework and waiting until my next class. Sometimes, these hours between classes are nice, but other times they just suck because I want to go home and get some sleep. Last night I stayed up way to late and tonight I am going to stay up late to. When are people supposed to make time for sleeping? At work, we just got done with month end and all the paper work that I have to do. It's weird. I have now worked there for three years (Thanksgiving) and now I am finally going to get Sundays off. I guess that if the person that does all the paper work leaves, and you take her spot, you get to have a great schedule. I am very excited because now I stay out late on Saturday and not feel bad because I have to go to work the next day. But, with more responsibility and no raise yet, I don't know how much longer I can stay. Well, I now have to go to class. Yeah for Business Law. Talk to you later. | | Tuesday, September 2nd, 2003 | | 11:47 am |
My last post form Wales
So today, we are leaving for a town that is closer to the airport. Today, it will be a 4-5 hour trip and then we leave for the airport at 6 in the morning. These next two days, I am just going to block out because they are nothing but traveling. The last few days nothing much has happened. We have just rested and tried to take in as much as we can before we leave. Well, I going to eat before we leave. So, Bye. | | Saturday, August 30th, 2003 | | 6:08 pm |
Blackpool
Blackpool is this great town where nobody sleeps. We went there just to drink, dance, and play with the amusement park and game halls. It basiclly is like Vegas. The weekend that we decided to go, there was a major town event happening that meant that a lot of people were in town. They have this lighting where they switch on all the decorations so that they can try to make the tourist season last longer. We had so much fun. I went on go-karts, dancing, tried to go into a casino, started to see a free pop concert but when we found out that it was 1 1/2 hours away and we had already stood in line for 1 hour we left, and had our palms read. I will be very successful, I should work with people, there is lots of traveling, and I am going to have two twin girls and one boy, just in case you where at all interested. For the next few days, we are just going to be relaxing and getting ready to go. It has been one crazy month. Anyways, talk to you later. | | Tuesday, August 26th, 2003 | | 5:48 pm |
So, now that the Internet is finally working again, I think I can finally tell you about my last few days. Last Friday we all went to Dublin, Ireland and had a wonderful time. It rained for the first few hours but after you ate lunch, it became very lovely. We went to the Guinness Factory and had a complementary beer. The place that they serve the beer reminds me of the Space needle because it was high up and you could see all around you. It was a great view of the town. To get over there we had to take a long ferry ride. The ferry was nothing like what we have at home. Overall the day was wonderful. On Saturday, we did not do anything just went shopping and relaxed. Sunday, Sandra and I went into town and walked around for awhile. Then, for no reason, I decided that I wanted to drink a lot. We tried to play Monopoly, but after all that I had to drink, the game did not go very far. At one point during the night, there were fireworks going off over the water so we all watched them and began to sing American songs at the top of our lungs. I think all the people around must think that we are absolutely crazy. Then we all decided that we wanted to go out into the water. Which is crazy because last time water did not sober us up. I had planned on not going into the water at all, I just wanted to get my feet wet, but of course I fell in. The next morning I felt ok but I started to get sick which I am now. So Monday we did nothing and just rested and watched TV all day. Today we went to this lovely little town and had a wonderful day. Right now the sun is shinning and there is a slight breeze. It is so lovely. After dinner we will must likely go out on the beach for awhile and just enjoy the evening. Well, that's all for now. Bye! | | Monday, August 25th, 2003 | | 12:37 am |
I am so drunk right now that I don't even know what I am writing. Well, anywaywe just went into the water and got completly wet. My two friends went skinny dipping and we had a lot of fun. But because it is so late, I need to watch a a movie anfd hopefully go to bed soon. Hopefull soon, i will tell you about all that I have done and not all the drunkness. OK Bye | | Tuesday, August 19th, 2003 | | 1:08 am |
My Week
So, we just got back from Telford today. We were there for one week. The first full day that we were there, we went to Alton Towers (an amusement park) and had a lot of fun. We got some great pictures that I can show you all when we get back. The next day we went to Blist Hill. It is a town that is all victorian and sent in the old days. You go to a bank and change it in to old money and use that though out the town. On friday we went to a flower show. It was supposed to be the biggest in the area. We saw tons of flowers and a horse jumping competition. For the next two fays, we were at the V 2003 Festival. Some of the major bands that we saw were David Gray, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Hives and a ton more. It was lots of fun. The weather was pretty good for most of it. We got a little rain during some parts on Sunday, but it was all good. It is about my bed time, so I will be going to bed now. Talk to you all later. | | Saturday, August 9th, 2003 | | 4:15 pm |
The Last few days in Wales
now that I have a little time, I thought that I would tell you all what we have been doing. Our first day in London we went on the London Eye which is basically a large ferris wheel that shows you all of London. The next day before we left we went to VA Museum before we left for a long car ride. After many traffic jams, heat, and a flat tire, we finally made it to North Wales. For the last few days we have seen one huge mansion, old house, and an old castle. So far the weather has been wonderful. Today is a little warm, but it is still nice and it just makes us want to go into the water. One lesson that I have learned so far is that if you are drunk, getting into the water will not actually sober you up. You will just continue to fall down the same way but now you are wet. On tuesday we will be leaving to go to another town for the week to see a very large concert and to go to Alton Towers, an amusement park. It is going to be a lot of fun. So if I don't post until then, you can know why. Talk to you Later- | | Wednesday, August 6th, 2003 | | 10:49 pm |
Wales
Well I have arrived in Wales. The plane ride was long and London was Hot. But it has been a great trip so far. I will write more details later, because it is late and I still have not quite adjusted to the time. Bye | | Saturday, July 26th, 2003 | | 3:01 am |
Sober
Being Sober around two realy drunk sick people is not the highlight of my evening, just to keep you all informed. | | Tuesday, May 27th, 2003 | | 12:16 pm |
My Trip
So today, I told my co-worker that does the scheduling that I will be leaving for Wales in two months and that I will be away for one month. She was not quite thrilled. Too many people have either quit, was away sick (me), or just generally in a bad mood, that the news was not taken well. But that is OK, because I am going to have the best time. Even if I have to quit, I will be going to Wales from Aug 4th to Sept 3rd. Yeah! |
